Can my child try a class before committing to a term?
Yes! We offer a paid trial class so your child can experience the lesson and see if they enjoy it before you commit to the full term.
Do you have a compulsory uniform, and when do we need to get it?
Yes, we do have a compulsory uniform at Rise Studios to create a sense of belonging and professionalism. You won’t need it for your trial class, but if your child decides to continue, we’ll provide full details on what to order and where to get it.
What should my child bring to their first class?
For the trial, comfy clothes they can move in and a water bottle are perfect. If they continue, we’ll guide you on uniform, shoes, and any props needed.
What age groups do you cater for?
We offer classes from pre-schoolers right up to adults. Our syllabus and approach are tailored to each age group, so whether your child is just starting out or preparing for a career in the arts, we have something for them.
Do you offer shows or performance opportunities?
Absolutely! We offer regular shows and performance opportunities so students can build confidence on stage. Every other year we do a big show at the Watford Palace Theatre. This takes place in July. We also put on a fantastic pantomime every year, with our Musical Theatre students. Throughout the year, school fayres, care homes and other performances take place.
Do parents stay and watch the classes?
We encourage parents to drop off and collect to help students focus and grow in confidence. Sometimes having their parents stay and watch can hinder progress, and can be intimidating for other students. However, we do offer demo weeks at the end of each term, so you can see their progress.
What happens if we miss a class?
We keep our class sizes small to get the best out of our students, so once you sign up for the term, you are committing to that space for the term. Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds for missed classes.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes! We know it adds up when you have multiple dancers in the family, so we offer a sibling discount of 10% when you enrol for the term. This will automatically be deducted from your bill each term.
How do I book and pay for classes?
You can book directly through our online booking system, and sign up to our direct debit scheme. Payments are made termly to secure your child’s place, and we’ll send reminders before each term starts and before any direct debit is collected.
My child has no dance experience, can they still join?
Absolutely! We welcome beginners at any age. Our classes are designed to be fun, inclusive, and supportive, so whether your child is a natural performer or just starting out, we’ll help them grow in skill and confidence.
Do you offer adult classes?
Yes! Dance isn’t just for kids. We run adult ballet, tap, and street dance classes — perfect whether you’re a complete beginner, returning after years away, or just looking for a fun way to stay fit. A great cardio work out whilst learning a new skill. You’re never too old to dance!
Do you offer holiday classes or workshops?
Yes, we do! We run Summer drop-ins and occasional school holiday workshops. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for the latest dates and booking details.
