Lydia began dancing at the age of 2. By the age of 7 she joined the Sylvia Young agency and began working professionally, alongside participating in regular dance and gymnastics competitions and winning the Stella Mason award at Ealing festival. At the age of 11 she earned a full-time scholarship to the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School. During her time there she performed in front of the late Queen Elizabeth II, as well as performing in Billy Elliot (West End) for 1 ½ years and appearing in BBC 1’s Silent Witness for 2 episodes as ‘Sosa’. Following her time at Sylvia Young, she completed a Biomedical Sciences Degree at Brunel University London, alongside continuing to teach dance & acro. In 2026 she earned a masters degree in Musical Theatre at Associated Studios. Having taught for nearly 10 years, Lydia has a passion for helping her students grow professionally. She values passion and energy, and prioritises comfort and safety in her classes. She looks forward to continuing her teaching journey at Rise Studios, and appreciates the genuine love for the performing arts displayed by the faculty and students.
