An Exciting New Chapter for Rise Studios

An Exciting New Chapter for Rise Studios

For 20 wonderful years, Rise Studios has been more than just a dance school, it has been a place where confidence has grown, friendships have formed, and countless young dancers have discovered a love for movement and performance.

As Rise approaches its very special 20th Anniversary Summer Show this July, the studio is preparing to step into an exciting new chapter.

After two decades of dedication, passion and unforgettable memories, Claire and Mandy will officially hand over the ownership of Rise Studios following the Summer Show on 11th July.

Celebrating 20 Incredible Years

Over the years, Rise Studios has welcomed generations of dancers through its doors — from tiny first steps in class to confident performers lighting up the stage. Watching students grow both in dance and in themselves has been one of the greatest joys for the Rise team.

This year’s Summer Show will be especially meaningful, serving as Claire and Mandy’s final celebration with the Rise family before the next era begins.

Introducing Alys

Rise Studios is delighted to welcome Alys as the new owner of the studio.

Alys brings with her a fantastic background in dance teaching, primary education and Zumba, along with a genuine passion for inspiring young people through creativity and movement. Her energy, experience and enthusiasm make her a wonderful fit for the Rise community.

Over the coming months, Alys will begin getting to know students and families by:

  • Visiting classes next term
  • Supporting with the dress rehearsal and Summer Show
  • Meeting parents and dancers
  • Running a Summer School in August, giving students the perfect opportunity to connect with her ahead of September

What Will Change?

The reassuring news for families is that the heart of Rise Studios will remain exactly the same.

The much-loved teaching team — Sarah, Becky, Clare and Annabel — will all continue teaching their classes as normal, and the majority of the timetable will stay unchanged.

From September:

  • Alys will take over Mandy’s Wednesday classes
  • Alys will also take over Claire’s Friday classes
  • The rest of the timetable and teaching staff will remain the same

To ensure a smooth and supportive transition, Mandy will continue managing Rise throughout the September term, helping Alyss settle into her new role and ensuring continuity for students and parents.

Looking Ahead to the Future

Choosing the right person to continue the Rise Studios journey was incredibly important. Claire and Mandy wanted someone who shared the same values, warmth and commitment to nurturing children’s confidence, creativity and love of dance.

Alys represents an exciting future for Rise Studios — bringing fresh ideas while preserving the supportive, welcoming community that families know and love.

As the studio enters its next 20 years, there is so much to look forward to.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Claire and Mandy would like to thank every student, parent and family who has been part of the Rise journey over the years. Your support, trust and enthusiasm have helped shape the incredible community Rise Studios has become today.

The 20th Anniversary Summer Show this July promises to be an emotional and unforgettable celebration, a chance to honour the past while looking ahead to an exciting future.

Over the coming weeks, families will start to see Alys around the studio, so please do say hello and give her a warm Rise welcome.
